Almost missed it…
This is in my top 5 pics of me and Beck. Sitting in my lap, waiting for the Scrooge puppet show at NorthPark…

Beck Takes Manhattan!!!
Okay, It’s been a while! I get it. Look Boo and Mommy where gone for three weeks and I was SO happy to have them back. The there was an outbreak of plague in the house, coupled with a few car issues and general life stuff. I also screwed up the photo upload, so I had to go in and delete multiple copies…yadda, yadda.
If Mommy has time, she’ll blog about the amazing adventures they had.

Bend it like Beck-Ham…
…or Boo-ham.
Beck kicked the ball back to me, for the first time!! He normally just kicks the ball once and then gets bored. Today, he kicked it back and we booted it around for, like, 10 minutes! I’m not sure what cracked me up more, the snorting he did when laughing or the tiny screams of “Goal” when he kicked the ball.

Boo at the Stockyards…
It’s rodeo time here in Texas. I guess it always is, really. But this is a big one in Fort Worth.
We drove in and loaded our nap-deprived tot in the car. He then proceeded to not nap in the car, as well. Oy.
We walked in the gates and say….horsies!!
We accidentally mentioned the fact that there was an equine potential on Saturday morning. Beck reminded us all day.
We decided to head on into the grounds, since the line of squalling kids waiting for the pony ride was a mile long. Only to run into the petting zoo. This was not to be missed. Llamas!! They had Llama…Lamae…anyhoo, since we’ve been reading, “Is your momma a llama” this was a must see.
The only thing he didn’t feed was daddy. And woe to the grown-up that gets in his way…
Later, we had a high-speed impact with some of the best things in life, barbecue and chocolate-covered cheesecake!!!
Belly full of sweets and grease, we hit the midway for the very first carnival ride. I fully expected Beck to love it or dissolve into a crying mess. Survey says….?
I take issue with the carny rules, though. Beck can tear it up, as above. He can chase down “Them Duke Boys” in the air, no less…
But was “too small” to ride the choo-choo.
Like that rattle trap is the bullet train. Beck crawls faster than that thing moved. Yet, he was denied the pleasure of cruising in “Thomas” by carny trash.
I was gonna get all, “excuse me sir, allow me to diagram the thrust co-efficient and aerodynamic frosnels…” on him. But we were rapidly on our way to this:
Which rapidly turned to this, after we got on the shuttle:
January Wrapup
We went from cold to warm, weather-wise. Beck is more and more able to tell us about it!
Words, words and more words…and “huggies”!

Beck at Samuell Farm
The hunt is on…
His prey found, the hunter strikes!!
…and so Beck gets to work.
To the victor belongs the spoils!

Dances With Strays strikes again…
When I first met My Loe, she had rescued a lab mix stray dog. Because the local shelter wasn’t a “no kill” facility, she kept the stray “until I find her a home”. Thus, she added Neko to Butterman, who she had previously saved.
Since then, it has never ceased to amaze me that she seems to attract strays. We could be in the middle of nowhere and she would find a dog or injured bird. So cute.
Anyhoo, a couple of weeks ago Laura saw a puppy in the middle of the street, it had been hit and was just laying there. My personal Florence Nightingale sprang into action and, one honkin’ vet bill later, Beck has a new playmate…
Yes, it gets cuter!
In case you didn’t catch the kooky eye…
One brown, one blue, all cute!! At least we’re keeping the labrador theme. Not sure what she’s mixed with, but it’s all manner of cute. Even when she’s peeing on the rug…or the kitchen floor…Beck’s rug…or chewing any number of things…
